How to Host an Unforgettable Margarita Day Party

Why isn’t Margarita Day a federal holiday by now? Guess that’s what happy hours are for! Fortunately, February 22nd falls on a Friday this year, making Margarita Day extra special. No matter if you’re feeling sweet or salty, here’s how you can kick off your weekend by bringing Margaritaville to the comfort of your own home.

Prep

Once your guests arrive, you’ll want to join the party, so make sure you plan ahead. Empty your dishwasher for loading used glasses and have paper towels handy in case of a spill. Putting snacks out is also a good idea because you’re going to need more than just sponge cake to nibble on for a Margarita Day celebration. Tropical-themed recipes such as jammin’ jerk shrimp over mango salsa or jerk marinated grilled salmon are perfect for this occasion.

Of course, you can’t forget the playlist! Tune in to music that will transport you and your guests to a sunshine state of mind.

Décor

Turn your home into an island paradise with blow up palm trees, Hawaiian leis, and everything pineapple. Don’t forget to decorate your tabletop in a fun beachy theme and make sure to rock your finest pair of flip flops.
